Yearlong Programming
The Troy Camp experience does not end with the week of camp. Rather, monthly events are held throughout the year which vary from trips to the aquarium to events on the USC campus. The events are both enjoyable and educational, and serve as a time for campers to build upon their relationship with their counselors while also having a great time and experiencing new things.
Like camp, all of the events are completely free for the children. Past events include trips to the Coliseum for a USC football game, the Natural History Museum, Disneyland, and an overnight at the Galen Center. No matter what the event, a fun time is guaranteed to be had by all.
The 2008-2009 Kids events included:
- Trip to Disney's California Adventure
- On campus water games and pool day
- On campus "Amazing Race" imitation relay
- Attending a USC football game as part of Pass the Can
- Thanksgiving dinner with campers' families
- Trip to Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County
- Rollerskating
- Aquarium visit and tide pool exploration
- On campus career exploration day
- "Clash of the Trojans" relay and game day, held by RSLH of USC
- Sleepover at the USC Galen Center
